THE END Begins Recording New Album
August 16, 2006Canadian quintet THE END has begun recording their new full-length album. This as-yet-untitled release is being recorded at B.W.C. Studios in Brampton, Ontario with producer Greg Dawson. THE END vocalist Aaron Wolff describes the writing process: "There was a very conscience effort to create the album that people won't be able to predict, and won't get tired of. It's a record for metal heads, it's a record for hardcore kids, it's a record for rock 'n' rollers. We're really focusing on exploring things that are very human, basic human emotions...The things that people try to hide and cover up but are still there no matter what is done to forget about it.....the kind anyone can relate to. We also felt the need to do things that are were out of the ordinary for ourselves as song writers, to keep things new and exciting and to make moves in directions we've never explored. The result is an extremely diverse record. Right from the first word we are pulling the listener inside the record. We truly feel that there is something in this record for anyone, as long as they are willing to let themselves forget about everything around them and focus on where the sound takes them. We are extremely happy with the progress we have made thus far."
The recording of the new album will wrap at summer's end. An early 2007 release via Relapse Records is expected.
